DEFINING THE ADMINISTRATIVE SKILLS OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE LEADERSHIPS IN THE LIBYAN COMMERCIAL BANKS: A FIELD STUDY


Abstract

The study focused on identifying the management skills by applying the method on the administrative leaderships at Libyan commercial banks. Through understanding the accessibility of their administrative leadership skills and finding out the degree of significance of these skills in order to determine the training requirement (the training gap). The sample of the study consisted of the administrative leaderships of the main commercial banks which are (216) leaders represented by:  (members of the board directors, general managers, administration managers, department heads, and office managers). The researcher used the descriptive analytical method in the study. The instrument of the study has been designed to achieve its goals .The validity and reliability of coefficients was confirmed before the final application process through the exploratory sample. After the use of the instrument of study and get the data, the study has used the statistical systems (SPSS) to extract the results relating to each question in the study. The most important findings of the study include: the level of availability of the administrative leadership skills of the administrative leadership at Libyan commercial banks which was (low ) for the availability degree with a standard deviation (2.58), and Mean (51.7%), the highest available administrative skills is the skill of decision-making with a Standard deviation reached (2.67) and the degree of availability was (medium), while the less available administrative skill was the skill of evaluation performance with a degree of availability (low ) and a Standard deviation (2.50). The results also show that the Standard deviation of the total degree of significance of the administrative skill was the administrative leaderships at Libyan commercial banks with a Standard deviation (4.42) and Mean (88.5%) and the degree of significance (very high) and the highest significant skills were: the skill of administrative creativity with a Standard deviation (4.54), and Mean (91%) followed by the skill of the decision-making with a Standard deviation (4.48), and Mean (89.6%), and the less importance administrative skills was the guiding skill reaching the Standard deviation (4.38), and Mean (87.6%).
