THE CULTURAL DIVERSITY OF CHANGE AGENTS AND ITS IMPACT ON THE SUCCESS OF CHANGE MANAGEMENT. AN APPLIED STUDY ON THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS SECTOR IN THE SULTANATE OF OMAN


Abstract

This study aims to identify the suitability of the cultural diversity of change agents, on the telecommunications sector as well as to identify the suitability of Age, Sexual and Ethnic diversity on the telecommunications sector in Oman. 

On the other hand, the study aims to determine the effect of the suitability of the cultural diversity of change agents, on the success of change management, 

To achieve the objectives of the study and collect the necessary information and data to formulate hypotheses and discuss the results, the researcher adopted a descriptive approach based on studying the reality of the phenomena and describing its characteristics accurately, The researcher has developed a special questionnaire of two parts to measure the suitability of the cultural diversity of change agents and its effect on change management: 

The Study Reported the Following Results: the total degree of suitability of cultural diversity of change agents was good with mean value of (3.63)in the telecommunications sector in Oman, while the total degree of change management success was high with mean value of(3.79). Furthermore, the study showed that there is a statistically significant effect at the level of(, 05) or below for the suitability of the cultural diversity of change agents on change management success, and there is a statistically significant effect at the level (, 05) or below for the suitability of Age, Sexual diversity, and Ethnic diversity of change agents on change management success, which reflects the significant effect of the suitability of the cultural diversity 

The study showed the negative impact of the absence of cultural diversity suitability of change agents on the success of change management in the telecommunications sector in Oman, The availability of cultural diversity suitability (ethnic, age, sexual) of change agents on the telecommunications sector in Oman; which provide opportunities for collective work and to accomplish tasks, especially in light of constant change and development in the communication sector
