THE CONTRIBUTION OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS TO THE DECISION MAKING PROCESS – ANALYTICAL STUDY
Abstract
The current study addressed the importance of information systems (IS) and their contributions to the decision-making process. The study also aimed to identify the extent to which such systems contribute to the process of decision-making. Using an inductive approach to data analysis, the study obtained various findings showing how such systems support or assist in the decision-making process. The study was organized into two major parts: the first part is concerned with discussing the concepts of IS and the decision-making process while the second part addresses the contributions of IS to the decision-making process.
