Abstract
Objectives: The current study aims to identify the levels of health behavior in diabetics. As well as to identify the differences in diabetes patients in accordance to variables as sex, the duration of the disease and educational level.
METHOD: To achieve the objectives of the study, a target sample of 120 individuals with diabetes were selected and residing in Ouargla (Algeria). Gender, social status, educational level and duration of illness were considered. The study used descriptive method. The Health Behavior Scale was designed to test the hypotheses of the study.
Results: The study found an average level of health behavior in diabetics. It also found differences in health behavior according to sex, while differences were not statistically significant for disease duration and educational level.
