THE IMPACT OF STRATEGIC PLANNING ON THE QUALITY OF SCHOOL PERFORMANCE IN BASIC EDUCATION SCHOOLS IN THE SULTANATE OF OMAN
The study aimed at understanding the impact of the implementation of strategic planning in the basic education schools in the Sultanate of Oman on the quality of school performance. The implementation of the concept of strategic planning is one of the modern applications in the Sultanate's schools, which still requires increasing attention by senior management in the Ministry of Education. Previous studies, which dealt with the practices of strategic planning by school principals,
but the interest is still weak in the direction of development and development of strategic planning skills, and this study is the first of its kind _ within the science of the researcher _ which touched on the concept of strategic planning And its impact on the quality of school performance in the basic education schools in the Sultanate of Oman Which aims to highlight the importance of strategic planning and its role in improving and developing school performance to increase the conviction of decision makers in the Ministry of Education to take care to spread the culture of strategic planning among the school administrations in the Sultanate. The study assumed the impact of strategic planning on the quality of school performance, Analytical (applied study) to achieve the objectives of the study and answer its questions, and the results of the study reached:
1 - The results of the study indicate that the estimates of the sample of the contribution of strategic planning in the quality of school performance came at a relative weight of (82.9), which is a high indicator of the degree of contribution.
2-The correlation between the two variables (strategic planning and the quality of school performance) reached (0.892), which is a very high correlation strength, while the coefficient of selection (R2) (81.2%) of the level of variation in the quality of school performance, the results indicate that there is a statistically significant effect of the strategic planning variable on the quality of school performance and that the correlation between them was very high.
