MODERN MANAGEMENT OF CREDIT RISK IN BANKS BANKS ACCORDING TO INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS "BASEL 02" A FIELD STUDY ON BANKS OPERATING IN ALGERIA


Abstract:

This research aims to assess the reality of credit risk management strategies and systems adopted by banks operating in Algeria, and to develop an integrated framework that helps banks to develop them in accordance with international banking supervision standards "Basel 02". The researcher used the descriptive analytical approach Criteria for modern credit risk management have been prepared as a questionnaire, distributed to all workers in credit risk management in banks, a comprehensive inventory method has been used, and a recovery rate of 58.8% of the total community has been achieved for research, where this research examined the reality of risk management strategies and systems The credit adopted by banks operating in Algeria, and the preparations necessary for their development in accordance with international banking supervisory standards "Basel 02", the most important results of the research indicate the efficiency of managing the credit process in banks operating in Algeria, the adequacy of financial allocations for potential losses in the credit portfolio in banks, and the success of most banks by adhering to the mandatory controls and rules set by the central bank for banks in order to mitigate credit risk.
