Abstract
This research aims to identify the crises facing Islamic societies, in particular, crises relating to health. The research also aims to find methods of prevention and treatment of health crises from an Islamic perspective. It also aims to identify social changes and the types of such changes due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The importance of this research stems from it identifying social changes due to the health crisis (Covid-19 pandemic) and ways to prevent them from an Islamic perspective. This topic was chosen after the emergence of social changes in most Arab societies due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The topic was chosen to highlight the preventive and curative nature of Islamic law in confronting health crises, and here lies the research problem represented in the central question: What are the types of social changes resulting from the Corona pandemic? And how does Islamic law deal with health crises?
The two researchers followed the inductive approach in tracing the texts from the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet, the analytical method to analyse these texts and the descriptive approach to social changes. Through this study, the two researchers reached a number of results, including the contribution of Islamic law in solving crises through flexibility and capacity in its laws. Another finding was the keenness of Islamic law to activate the principle of consultation in decision-making.
