DIGITALISATION IN ACCELERATING ALGERIA' S TRANSFORMATION INTO A DIGITAL COUNTRY DURING THE CORONA CRISIS

ABSTRACT:
The world is in a tremendous technological development, from all social, economic and political sectors, today digitalization, technology has become a necessary in all sectors for the continuity of life.
The study aimed, after the widespread spread of the emerging corona virus (Covid.19), prompted many countries to accelerate their adoption of digitization, and this is after its spread in all countries of the world and the recession that the global economy has known in all vital sectors to shed light on the digitization of the state and its services, and this is a result because most Countries have taken a set of preventive and precautionary measures in order to avoid the spread of the pandemic, including closing all their sea, air and land borders, and more than this, closing schools and universities and stopping all economic and social activities in order to preserve the safety of its citizens in the first place.To address the research problem represented: How did the Corona crisis contribute to accelerating the digitization wheel in Algeria?We used a descriptive analytical approach in listing the social and economic conditions of the countries of the world considering the pandemic, and an applied statistical approach in data collection and analysis to determine the extent of digitization of government sectors and services and the use of the Internet. By taking advantage of the opportunities available to transform it into a digital country, and this is through the infrastructure that it has, despite its modest steps that we have seen from the statistics. And the most important recommendation we reached is the creation of a cell in each ministry that deals with the aspect of digitization and technology.
