Dr. Howida Abass Abozed nor Alden

Abstract
The research deals with the effectiveness of reading counseling in improving the level of psychological adjustment among secondary school students, to identify the extent of the effect of the method of reading counseling in improving psychological adjustment, as it is an appropriate method for dealing with the various problems facing school students. research problem stems from the role played by reading guidance services and their abilities to provide a guiding guide, to provide students with sufficient information and experience to improve psychological adjustment. Hence, the research problem came to identify the effectiveness of reading guidance in improving psychological adjustment, which is formulated in the following questions: 1/ Are there statistically significant differences between the tribal and remote measurements of the experimental group in the level of psychological adjustment in favor of the post measurement due to the reading guidance variable? 2/ Are there statistically significant differences between the pre- and post- measurement of the experimental group in the level of emotional compatibility in favor of the post-measurement due to the reading guidance variable? 3/ Are there statistically significant differences between the tribal and remote measurements of the experimental group in the level of social adjustment in favor of the post measurement due to the reading guidance variable? The importance of the research is that the individual's need for psychological counseling has a clear impact on his personality, and that satisfying and achieving it helps psychological adjustment, as the opportunity to provide appropriate counseling services to deal with the problem of psychological misalignment, achieves more emotional and social balance for individuals in this important age stage. The research aims to reveal the effectiveness of reading counseling in improving the level of psychological adjustment among secondary school students. The researcher used the quasi-experimental method, depending on the design of the one group, to answer the research questions. To answer the study questions, the researcher used the Hugh M. bul. Scale. And a guide prepared by the researcher, which includes information and skills to be presented to students, followed by group discussions. The original research community consisted of (200) students representing the second-grade students in the secondary stage. The researcher chose (20) students as an experimental group for research from the students who obtained the highest scores in the compatibility scale of Hugh M. bul. And who suffer from the problem of poor compatibility. To extract the results, the researcher used the Pearson correlation coefficient and the two-tailed t-test. The results revealed the effectiveness of reading counseling in improving the level of psychological adjustment among the sample members. The results also revealed that there were differences for the experimental group in the level of emotional compatibility in the pre- and post-measurement in favor of the post-measurement. There were also differences for the experimental group in the level of social adjustment in the tribal and remote measurements in favor of the post measurement. This shows the effectiveness of reading counseling in improving psychological adjustment. Considering the results, the researcher presented a set of recommendations.
