Abstract:
This research deals with the issue of charitable work during the era of the modern Moroccan Alawi state, in order to answer a central question, which is: To what extent can charitable work in the modern Moroccan state be distinct from the rest of the Arab and Islamic countries? This central problematic question resulted in a set of questions, which necessitated an introduction to defining the concept of charitable work, its terminology, and its purposes... before reaching the first topic dedicated to talking about some patterns of charitable work during the era of the Alawite state, and its various projects, (the construction of schools and universities to pay attention to science). And the scholars, the care of the poor, the needy and the cut off, the care of the sick and the insane...) and the marginalization these projects were subjected to during the colonial period, and the efforts exerted by the Moroccan state after this era, in order to promote them again. And this is before we get to the conclusion of the topic to summarize some results and recommendations.
